HAMILTON ART CRAWL
I haven’t been to Art Crawl in Hamilton for years, but when I was asked to go I couldn’t turn down the opportunity. Rain and I met up with Claire to find a spot to setup their crochet booth. I camped in the spot for a bit, watching skateboarders who had a taped off spot down the block and watching people filter through the streets. We got there at a good time, the sun was shining but it was surprisingly chilly for a June evening. Once we were settled in, I took a walk down James St to take in the full event and came up with some really good compositions and a lot of portraits

POCKETS OF LIGHT
For this session I walked around the Hill looking for sun shining between and reflecting off of buildings and then I waited for someone to step in to it. Along the way I met a lady and her dog Maple, who insisted i give Maple treats to get a good angle. It was hard to compete with the noises and smells of the Hill. To cap off the walk I practiced some portraits with Rain

LONG EXPOSURE ON THE HILL
I got creative with the lights on the Hill and tried some long exposure. Colour grading these shots to be more green and orange helped create an abstract style photo that has been inspiring me lately. Light streaks, some blur, bold colours and a simple palette are elements I want to explore more to achieve the look I want, and this was a great session to experiment. At the end of the gallery are some shots of Rain to practice some street portrait photography

ALICE IN BLOOMLAND
I’m incredibly excited to be sharing my first photo walk of 2025. I brought a Sony a7iii to the Royal Botanical Gardens for their “Alice in Bloomland” after dark event. It was such an amazing night with great friends, neon lights, massive gardens, and Alice in Wonderland theming everywhere. Big love to Chante and Claire for being part of my photography journey and shout out to Claire for her inspiring crochet Bunny Jester costume she made for this event that took these photos to the next level. NIGHT OF ART
Niagara Falls has an event once a year called The Night of Art at the end of summer. I brought my camera along to see if anything catches my eye. I didn’t get many candids but I did ask a few artists to pose for a quick portrait. One being my friend, Mandy and 2 other women that I met that night who I had struck up conversation with, Trish with the beautiful paintings and Olga with her cute puppies

BIRD KINGDOM
A place that I have always wanted to go to was the Bird Kingdom. It’s a small spot near the Falls that I’ve always seen ads for but never took the time to go to. 2023 was the year of exploring around the Falls more so I had to make it happen. I’m so happy that I went when I did. I brought along a new lens to sweeten the experience and it did not disappoint

PHOTOWALK 4
All of my work, shooting and walking has finally shown a breakthrough with this session. This photo with the man and his child was well worth the couple of hours walking around the Falls that day and the numerous hours I have been putting in for summers prior. Seeing this shot was a surreal moment of relief, gratitude and joy. Overall, I was able to get some really great photos this day and it really signaled to me that I was well on my path and fulfilling my vision

POOL HALL
Playing pool is one of my favourite ways to chill while with friends and having some drinks. I didn’t think I was going to get any good frames here since I’ve never been here before but once I saw Rain’s blue shirt matching the blue tables and the over head bright lights, I was immeadiately inspired. I lost every game to Rain and my cousin, but I won with these shots
