VILLAGE PRIDE
Once Summer hit, I was ready to rock. The next day I took a drive to Hamilton, Ontario to visit Claire (@stitchfoolery) for Village Pride put on by House of Adam and Steve (@houseofadamandsteve). I got there just in time for some drag performances with some photos of Chimera (@itschimaera), Calypso Cosmic (@calypsocosmic) and Jada (@jadashadahudson). For my gear, I kept it light with the Sony a7II and a 17-28mm Tamron lens which was a terrible idea for trying to capture performances but I got some nice wides and some incredible shots of the supporters and good vibes that day. I even got a fire shot of some graffiti through some trees. I had an incredible time

SUMMER SOLSTICE
June felt like it was going by quickly. Weather had been on the cooler side and I wasnβt finding enough time to get out. Something I never want to do is let work consume my life so I was itching to get out and walk by the falls. Then I remembered that June 21 would be the official start of summer and I decided that would be my day. The city was calling so I had to see what was going on, and it did not disappoint. The Falls was alive with people, nature and good vibes! I had so much fun on this photowalk

HAMILTON ART CRAWL
I havenβt been to Art Crawl in Hamilton for years, but when I was asked to go I couldnβt turn down the opportunity. Rain and I met up with Claire to find a spot to setup their crochet booth. I camped in the spot for a bit, watching skateboarders who had a taped off spot down the block and watching people filter through the streets. We got there at a good time, the sun was shining but it was surprisingly chilly for a June evening. Once we were settled in, I took a walk down James St to take in the full event and came up with some really good compositions and a lot of portraits

POCKETS OF LIGHT
For this session I walked around the Hill looking for sun shining between and reflecting off of buildings and then I waited for someone to step in to it. Along the way I met a lady and her dog Maple, who insisted i give Maple treats to get a good angle. It was hard to compete with the noises and smells of the Hill. To cap off the walk I practiced some portraits with Rain

LONG EXPOSURE ON THE HILL
I got creative with the lights on the Hill and tried some long exposure. Colour grading these shots to be more green and orange helped create an abstract style photo that has been inspiring me lately. Light streaks, some blur, bold colours and a simple palette are elements I want to explore more to achieve the look I want, and this was a great session to experiment. At the end of the gallery are some shots of Rain to practice some street portrait photography

ALICE IN BLOOMLAND
Iβm incredibly excited to be sharing my first photo walk of 2025. I brought a Sony a7iii to the Royal Botanical Gardens for their βAlice in Bloomlandβ after dark event. It was such an amazing night with great friends, neon lights, massive gardens, and Alice in Wonderland theming everywhere. Big love to Chante and Claire for being part of my photography journey and shout out to Claire for her inspiring crochet Bunny Jester costume she made for this event that took these photos to the next level. THE LAST PHOTOWALK OF 2024
The last photowalk of 2024 was Halloween weekend for an epic adventure at Woodbine Mall and Fantasy Fair. I brought my Sony a7ii and a recycled disposable camera lens (24mm), Claire brought her ghost costume. The retro vibes were immaculate. I love the feel of shooting on a film camera with the flexibility of digital, it was a lot of fun to try it out for the first time. Thanks to Claire for letting me know this place exists and hanging out

PHOTOWALK SEPTEMBER 1 2024
This marks a solid year of more consistent photo walking around the Falls. When I was editing these photos I couldn't help but feel really good about my progress so far. I bought my 2025 parking pass today and I'm patiently waiting to get back out there for this new season. Until then, enjoy this gallery
